Preview AC Milan Faces Injury Concerns During International Break

The recent international break has brought unwelcome news for AC Milan, particularly with their upcoming league fixture against Fiorentina looming. The Rossoneri find themselves assessing the fitness of several key players.

However, there`s a silver lining regarding Christian Pulisic. While he initially raised concerns after stopping training with the US national team, the creative midfielder managed to play a short segment against Ecuador. His ankle is reportedly just swollen, indicating a less severe issue than initially feared, offering a glimmer of hope for a quick return.

Unfortunately, Pulisic isn`t the only player facing fitness issues. Both Pervis Estupiñán and Alexis Saelemaekers have also picked up knocks. Saelemaekers, the Belgian winger, had to withdraw from his national team camp due to discomfort experienced during the match against North Macedonia. Despite initial worries from Belgium, the prognosis is optimistic: Saelemaekers will undergo standard medical examinations soon, but his recovery is expected to take no more than 10-12 days.

Estupiñán`s injury is also considered minor. The left-back, who is nursing an ankle problem, will remain with the Ecuadorian national squad, and there are no immediate plans for him to return to Italy early. This suggests his issue is manageable and does not require an immediate return to Milan for treatment.
