Strasbourg is asking a high price for the brother of the PSG star: Milan offered 15 million but was quoted double.

AC Milan`s search for full-backs is proving difficult, following the disappointment with Archie Brown and the complications arising in the pursuit of Guéla Doué. Just over a month before the Coppa Italia opener against Bari on Sunday, August 17th at San Siro, the club is still reeling from Brown`s decision to join Fenerbahce despite initially appearing set for Milan.
Now, Strasbourg is demanding a high fee for Doué, brother of PSG`s Desiré. Milan`s €15 million offer was reportedly met with a request for double, making the signing unlikely at present. This difficult negotiation might lead Milan directors Furlani and Tare to consider other targets, such as Pubill from Almeria.
With the team already in pre-season training, manager Allegri needs reinforcements. After securing Modric and closing the deal for Ricci, Milan had hoped finding a backup for Theo Hernandez would be simpler. However, the Brown situation was a setback, and Doué now seems distant. Milan needs to change course quickly as the transfer window has just begun, and there is much work to be done to recover after a challenging 2024-25 season.
