Preview AC Milan’s Squad Revamp Continues: Samuele Ricci In, Luka Jovic Out

The upcoming week is set to mark the official and real transfer of Samuele Ricci to AC Milan. The Rossoneri recently reached an agreement with Torino for the Italian international midfielder, born in 2001. This comprehensive operation, valued at €25 million (€23 million fixed fee plus €2 million in bonuses), is expected to become effective shortly. Ricci will undergo medical examinations with the Milan club in the coming days, although the exact date has not yet been set. The player, currently on vacation in Uganda, is anticipated to return to Italy to finalize the process.

Once the medical tests are successfully completed, Ricci will sign a contract with Milan valid until June 30, 2029, with an option to extend until 2030. The midfielder will also benefit from a salary increase, which will exceed €2 million net per year. With this acquisition, the Rossoneri secure a promising young Italian talent, strengthening their midfield with a technically proficient, intelligent, and already mature player despite his young age.

Meanwhile, just hours after bidding farewell to Tammy Abraham (who returned to Roma after his loan spell concluded), AC Milan also said goodbye to Luka Jovic this Sunday. The Serbian striker will not renew his expiring contract and will therefore leave the Milanese club as a free agent. The club`s social media message read: “Thank you Luka! We wish you all the best for the next step in your career.”
