These are the two cities where the Livorno-born coach spent the most important years of his career and to which he is deeply connected. Places where Max has also put down roots outside the pitch.

A winner in both Milan and Turin (though his trophy count leans heavily towards his time in black and white, 12-2), Massimiliano Allegri is one of those coaches who leaves a significant mark wherever he goes, extending beyond the field. His memories, like his present, are interwoven with the streets of Turin and Milan, from the historic buildings of the former to the skyscrapers of the latter. Both cities are his, each in a different way and across various periods. Allegri`s story is made up of matches, victories, disappointments, and titles, but also of places – his cherished spots, from Piazza Solferino to Brera – which we revisit just days before his anticipated match: Juventus-Milan.
Here in Turin
The Jhotel serves as his post-match retreat, where he enjoys his usual meal in the company of family and often friends, especially those long-standing ones arriving from Livorno. The most significant part of Allegri`s Turinese life can also be found at the Continassa training center, a place of intense focus after matches, where he sometimes dedicates a few moments to fans for autographs and selfies in the corridors. In his final years at Juve, Max preferred to stay overnight at the club`s hotel after games, rather than returning home.
Turin is the city he chose to live in; he even invested in it over the last decade by purchasing properties in the city center. He also resided there during his period of hiatus after being dismissed by Juve in 2019. In recent years, while always staying in the center, he changed residences a couple of times, favoring the area near Piazza Solferino. Turin has become home for him, chosen also to be closer to his son, Giorgio, whom he often accompanied to football school, engaging in friendly conversations with other parents present.
In his rare free time, Allegri frequently visited the Sporting club in Corso Agnelli, where he indulged in a game of tennis, sometimes even staying for lunch. His deep knowledge of the city led him to establish a weekly routine, frequenting trusted restaurants and bars and building solid personal relationships with owners and staff over time. From Gran Bar in Piazza Gran Madre to Bar Pepe in the morning, passing through Ristorante Bastimento (one of his favorites) and especially La Ville for dinner, Allegri`s Turin is imbued with taste and indissoluble bonds.
Here in Milan
Milan, for Allegri, is almost synonymous with Milanello. The core of his second Milanese experience is inextricably linked to the Rossoneri training center, the pulsating heart of the Devil, which the Livorno-born coach had already led to the Scudetto fourteen years ago, finding the right alchemy among the woods of Carnago. It`s essential to start with Milanello because the Allegri-era Milan of 2025-2026 is something very different from his first tenure. This Milan needed, and still needs, specific care and total attention. The team required an even more attentive and dedicated commander (indeed, double training sessions were reinstated in the summer, and behavioral rules for players within the training center were tightened).
This is to say that Allegri spends more days on the pitch than usual. And as hours on the field increase, those dedicated to private life and external interests decrease. Nevertheless, Milan is another second home for Max. He already owned an apartment in the Brera area, one of the city center`s most iconic locations, where he had lived during his first Milanese adventure between 2010 and 2014, in the same building where Reijnders also resided.
For the most part, some fixed stops that were a must to share with Galliani are no longer part of his evenings, but he still has many friends in Milan, including, of course, the former Rossoneri CEO. His interest in basketball remains strong when Olimpia plays at home. And his friends await him at the Aspria Harbour club for a game of tennis, a pastime Max used to enjoy but hasn`t yet managed to resume. Allegri generally frequents elegant but not ostentatious environments: his roots remain tied to his Livorno, where substance and authenticity are much preferred. The same applies to dining, with a predilection for fish dishes: fried fish and especially cacciucco are, needless to say, at the top of his taste preferences.
