Archie Brown`s future will not be at AC Milan. The 2002-born left-back was indeed very close to joining the Rossoneri – a fact he confirms himself – but ultimately chose Fenerbahçe. The speculation had already surfaced earlier today and is now officially confirmed by the Gent defender. Before departing for Istanbul, where he is set to become a new player for José Mourinho`s team, Brown released statements reported by Fabrizio Romano`s X account:
“The agreement with Milan was practically done. I was ready to go. But then, during the night, I received a call from the Fenerbahçe president. Everything changed. The passion he showed, his vision… they made the decision easy. I knew I had to come to Fener.”

In the hours preceding this, Milan had attempted to insert themselves into negotiations between Brown and Fenerbahçe, matching Gent`s offer and gaining priority from the English full-back, who until yesterday evening seemed more inclined towards a move to Italy than Turkey.
