After securing the English full-back, the Turkish club delivers a playful jab via Instagram.
Fenerbahçe, having successfully poached Archie Brown from AC Milan, is now openly mocking them on Instagram. The Turkish club shared a video featuring the former Gent full-back on a plane. A voice, in Italian, presumably from a radio, (with an AC Milan `Curva Sud` chant faintly in the background) declares: “The young English talent is ready to land in Italy. Fenerbahçe was among the interested clubs, but ultimately, his choice seems to have fallen on Milan.”
A Change of Station
At this point, however, the defender, looking stylish on the private jet, requests to change the station. Suddenly, a `breaking news` announcement plays: “Archie Brown is in Istanbul!” The video then shows the Englishman proudly wearing the yellow and blue Fenerbahçe jersey, transitioning from imagery of pizza to kebap. In essence, the jibe has been perfectly delivered.
