94% of Supporters Renew Passes; Club Likely Would Have Sold 50,000 If Sales Continued

AS Roma is set to welcome over 40,000 fans per match. Demonstrating immense loyalty, the Roma faithful responded overwhelmingly to the “Core de `sta città” season ticket campaign and the new project involving coach Gasperini, Claudio Ranieri, and Ricky Massara. The club hit its season ticket capacity and halted sales after just two weeks. The target was met quickly during a brief public sale phase lasting just over three hours, building on a record-breaking renewal period where a remarkable 94% of existing season ticket holders renewed their passes. Around 3,000 fans from last year`s waiting list also secured passes.
Record Figures
By midday, approximately 37,500 passes had been sold, plus about 2,000 in the Premium section. Although the Curva Sud and Distinti sections quickly sold out, Roma opted to open sales for other areas. Within three hours, and despite over 10,000 fans queuing online hoping to secure a spot, the remaining tickets were also rapidly purchased, pushing the total slightly over 40,000. This meets the club`s target, as the Friedkin ownership aims to reserve at least 20,000 tickets for single-match sales. Had the campaign continued, estimates suggest Roma could have reached 50,000 season tickets. This remarkable level of demand hasn`t been witnessed since the peak of the Sensi era in 2001 and 2002, when 47,000 passes were sold. This demonstrates strong support for the Friedkins, a surge also influenced by the pricing strategy and the significant benefits offered to season ticket holders, particularly those with the “Plus” package, including options to transfer tickets or resell them for 60% of the match price. This trend of high demand and sold-out matches has been consistent under the Friedkins, with 70 sold-out games in the last three seasons.
