Bari has reportedly identified its new starting goalkeeper for the upcoming season. Following the departure of Boris Radunovic, who returned to Cagliari after his loan spell, the white-and-red club has reportedly set its sights on Michele Cerofolini from Frosinone.
The 25-year-old (born in 1999), who kept eight clean sheets in 36 league appearances last season while conceding 43 goals, is reportedly close to an agreement with the Apulian club. Bari has offered him a three-year contract. The player, who came through Fiorentina`s youth system, is said to be on the verge of signing the deal.
Bari is thus looking to rebuild with a goalkeeper who is in the prime of his career. Cerofolini already boasts a significant track record with 58 appearances in Serie B, in addition to 13 in Serie A and 21 in Serie C. He aims to relaunch his career after a challenging year in Ciociaria, where Frosinone`s direct salvation was only secured after Brescia`s penalty, which allowed the Gialloazzurri to avoid the play-out against Salernitana.
