Yesterday proved to be a difficult day for Bayern Munich. The Bavarians not only exited the Club World Cup after a 2-0 defeat to PSG but also faced the significant setback of a serious injury to Jamal Musiala. He was forced off the pitch following an accidental collision with PSG`s goalkeeper, Donnarumma.
Speaking to the club`s official website about the incident, Bayern`s sporting director, Max Eberl, stated: “This severe injury and the resulting long absence are truly a shock for Jamal and for all of us. It represents a tough blow for Bayern Munich. Everyone understands Jamal`s importance to our style of play and his central role within the team. Furthermore, from a personal standpoint, it is an extremely bitter situation: Jamal had only recently returned from an injury, and now he faces another extended period out. He will receive all the possible support from us. We will stand by him and follow his recovery step by step. We are all eagerly awaiting his return to the field.”

“Jamal Musiala suffered a serious injury during the Club World Cup quarter-final match between FC Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain in the United States and was substituted at halftime. Following medical examinations, the German champions confirmed the attacker sustained a fractured fibula and an ankle dislocation. The 22-year-old flew from Orlando to Munich on Sunday morning and is scheduled for surgery shortly.”
