Preview Bologna’s Sartori on Scouting Mission in Belgium: Leysen and Ivanovic Key Targets

Bologna`s Technical Director, Giovanni Sartori, is reportedly in Belgium, as per Sky Sport, to scout potential new players for the Rossoblù and progress ongoing transfer negotiations.

During his trip, the Bologna transfer specialist attended the Belgian Supercup final between Club Brugge and Union St-Gilloise. One player under observation was Fedde Leysen, a left-footed defender who has been on the Felsinei`s radar for more than a year. However, Sartori`s focus isn`t solely on defense; among other targets is Franjo Ivanovic, a Croatian-Austrian striker who scored in the very match Sartori attended.

In a recent interview, Bologna`s Sporting Director, Marco Di Vaio, commented on the club`s transfer activities, stating: “We`ve added some experience to the squad, the motivations are right, and we`ll see what the pitch tells us.”

Regarding the persistent rumors linking Ndoye with Nottingham Forest, Di Vaio clarified: “The player has garnered interest, but we haven`t received any official offers from any club. We are also in discussions with him about extending and improving his contract, and the player himself is open to this. Our aim is to maintain the team`s core structure and make as few changes as possible.”

When asked if Asllani is a target, Di Vaio responded dismissively: “If we were to pursue everything that`s written… at this moment, we are focused on ourselves and what is tangible. We will assess everything at the end of the transfer window; we remain vigilant on all fronts but are content with the squad we currently have.”
