
This prestigious recognition is bestowed annually by the Italian Football Managers Association upon coaches who have notably distinguished themselves.

Francesco Calzona has been honored with the 2025 Timone d`Oro (Golden Helm) award. This esteemed accolade, presented by the Italian Football Managers Association, celebrates coaches for their exceptional contributions and achievements. The award ceremony took place at the Hotel Minerva in Arezzo.
Several members of the Slovakia national team coaching staff, led by head coach Calzona, were also in attendance. This included Marco Brini, Gianluca Segarelli, Alessandro Buffoni, Simone Bonomi, Marek Hamsik, and Igino Camerota.
Expressing his sentiments, Calzona stated, “This is an honor that I share with my staff. I dedicate this award to my family and the Slovak Football Federation.”
Historically, the Golden Helm has been awarded to prominent coaches such as Fabio Capello, Marcello Lippi, Claudio Ranieri, and Antonio Conte.
The event also recognized Tuscan coaches who excelled in their respective categories throughout the past sporting season, including Alessandro Calori and Stefano Cusin, the current head coach of the Comoros national team.
