Un Percorso Parallelo, ma Divergente
Con ottima tecnica e origini turche, Can Uzun, nato a Ratisbona nel 2005, condivide molto con Kenan Yildiz. I due, infatti, sono amici fin dall`infanzia, uniti dalla passione per il calcio, iniziando insieme in un piccolo club locale e continuando ad allenarsi sui vecchi campi di casa durante l`estate, come accaduto anche tre mesi fa prima dell`inizio della stagione. Le loro carriere, tuttavia, hanno preso direzioni opposte: Yildiz ha intrapreso una strada più diretta attraverso il settore giovanile del Bayern Monaco per poi approdare alla Juventus, dove è diventato un titolare inamovibile. Uzun ha seguito un percorso più tortuoso, passando dal Norimberga e dalla Zweite Bundesliga prima di raggiungere l`Eintracht Francoforte, dove ora si sta affermando come uno dei talenti più brillanti della Germania. Nelle prime nove partite stagionali ha realizzato sei gol e quattro assist, segnando anche all`esordio in Champions League contro il Galatasaray, proprio come il suo amico Yildiz aveva fatto un anno prima contro il PSV.

A Parallel, Yet Divergent Path
With impressive technical skills and Turkish origins, Can Uzun, born in Regensburg in 2005, shares much in common with Kenan Yildiz. Indeed, the two have been best friends since childhood, united by their passion for football. They started together at a small local club and often meet to train on their old home pitch during the summer, as they did just three months ago before the season began. Their careers, however, have taken almost opposite trajectories: Yildiz chose the main path, progressing through Bayern Munich`s youth sector before joining Juventus, where he has become an undisputed starter. Uzun took a more circuitous route: through Nuremberg and the Zweite Bundesliga, then to Eintracht Frankfurt, where he is now emerging as one of Germany`s top talents. In his first nine seasonal matches, he has scored six goals and provided four assists, even netting on his Champions League debut against Galatasaray, just as his friend Yildiz had done a year prior against PSV.
A Turkish Heart and Undeniable Talent
What kind of player is Can Uzun? He is an attacking midfielder with the physique of a central midfielder (186 centimeters) and the running ability of a box-to-box midfielder, capable of striking with both feet. In Germany, he is compared to Mario Goetze, his current Eintracht teammate, for his ease in navigating tight spaces, shooting, or delivering illuminating passes to teammates. Can arrived in Frankfurt in 2024, after scoring 16 goals in the Zweite Bundesliga. Following an initial year of adaptation, this season has seen his true explosion. If his performances remain consistent, a move to a top club would be almost a certainty. For insiders, Can Uzun is not a sudden surprise or a flash in the pan.
