Speaking about AC Milan on TMW Radio`s Maracanà show, journalist Carlo Pellegatti offered his perspective: “They prefer not to call it a revolution, but there have certainly been widespread changes. We`re trying to reach our peak, but we haven`t arrived yet.”
Regarding transfer targets, Pellegatti highlighted the situation with Samuele Ricci: “These are critical hours for Ricci. Around 2 PM, I contacted important sources who indicated it wouldn`t happen, but now I see other experts reporting accelerated progress. I`m genuinely surprised because I was consistently told he`s a good player, but never with significant enthusiasm. He seemed to have been set aside, even though they did pursue him in January. I personally had different player profiles in mind.”
He continued to express reservations about the potential investment: “The fact that their first major signing could be €25 million for Ricci surprises me, as I`m still not fully convinced he`s a truly top-tier player. Tare`s appointment was driven more by ownership than the club`s management. Finally, a clear direction has been established to prevent confusion.”
On the search for a striker in the mold of Giroud, Pellegatti stated: “The player I`m thinking of is on Milan`s list of five potential forwards. They`ve been turned down by Kean, Vlahovic, and Nunez, so we must explore other options. Among the five is Arokodare, a 24-year-old Nigerian with numerous goals for Genk. Physically, he reminds me of Osimhen and Lukaku; he`s a penalty box player and is one to watch. He`s not among the absolute top preferences, but he should be kept under close observation.”
