Catanzaro has officially announced the acquisition of young attacking midfielder Gabriele Alesi, who joins the club on a contract valid until June 30, 2028. Born in 2004, Alesi developed within the AC Milan youth academy and spent the most recent season playing for “Milan Futuro” in Group B of Serie C.
Presenting himself through the giallorossi club`s social channels, Alesi commented: “I consider myself more of an offensive player than a defensive one. I can operate in midfield, but during the past season I played various roles: from winger to even a wing-back, truly a utility player. Fundamentally though, my nature is that of a footballer oriented towards attacking.”
Reflecting on his background at Milan: “I spent six years within the Rossoneri system, progressing from the youth sector to the Primavera and then the Under 23s. It was a long and formative path that provided me with significant professional growth.”
The emotional impact and atmosphere of Catanzaro were key factors in his decision: “As soon as I heard about Catanzaro`s interest, I had no doubts. This is an exceptional place, with passionate fans: it was an immediate choice. Everyone I spoke to told me wonderful things about this environment: the warmth of the public, the city, the sense of serenity that prevails. I couldn`t have asked for anything better, and I am ready to give my all for this shirt and the supporters. I want to repay the trust on the field through commitment and dedication.”
