As previously reported, a proactive Cavese has officially acquired forward Gerardo Fusco, born in 2005, from Salernitana`s youth sector. Fusco has committed to the Blufoncè club with a two-year contract, valid until June 30, 2027, in anticipation of his new professional football experience. The signing was confirmed moments ago via an official statement from Cavese.

Born in Salerno on May 18, 2005, he progressed through Salernitana`s entire youth system, reaching the first team where he made 1 appearance in Serie A and 2 in Serie B.
Following in his father`s footsteps: his father, Luca, began his senior career with the Blufoncè jersey in the 1996/97 season, which concluded with winning the Serie D championship.
Last season, Gerardo scored 11 goals in 20 appearances in the Primavera 2 championship.
He has committed to the Metellian club until June 30, 2027.

It is worth recalling that just days earlier, Fusco had bid farewell to Salernitana supporters via social media, sharing the message: “I`m very disappointed with how it ended and I would have expected a different outcome, but growing up also means accepting decisions we don`t agree with.” This post was met with numerous messages of affection from Salernitana fans.
