I think there was a lack of uniformity in judgment. A charge on the goalkeeper who remains standing and recovers his position shouldn`t be penalized (referring to a penalty not awarded to Verona). Furthermore, the penalty given to Sassuolo, for consistency, should not have been called, as in my opinion, it wasn`t a foul. It`s pointless to discuss it now; we have to lick our wounds. The incidents shifted the balance, but we still need to improve.”

Faccio i complimenti al Verona, so bene quanto sia arduo vincere qui. Abbiamo creato occasioni in entrambi i tempi, soffrendo un po` nel finale ma avendo anche l`opportunità di chiudere la partita. Faccio i complimenti ai ragazzi. Questa vittoria era ciò che cercavamo, su un campo estremamente difficile, contro un Verona che ti pressa con grande intensità e qualità. Siamo stati bravi a restare concentrati e a colpirli al momento giusto.”

I congratulate Verona; I know how difficult it is to come here and win. We created opportunities in both halves, suffering a bit towards the end but also having chances to seal the game. Congratulations to the lads. This victory was what we were looking for, on an extremely tough pitch, against a Verona team that presses you with great intensity and quality. We were good at staying focused and striking when we had the opportunity.”
