Preview Cosenza: Braglia in Pole Position for Bench Return, Bisoli the Alternative

Following their relegation last season, Cosenza appears set on appointing an experienced technical director to guide them back to Serie B immediately. According to information gathered by Tuttomercatoweb.com, the profile currently favored is that of Pietro Braglia, who previously managed the Calabrian club from 2017 to 2020, overseeing 107 matches.

Braglia, whose recent spell at Campobasso ended in January with his dismissal, was the last coach to successfully lead the `Lupi` (the Wolves, Cosenza`s nickname) to Serie B. This was achieved in the 2017/18 season by winning the playoffs, having finished fifth in the regular season after taking over mid-campaign.

The alternative candidate for the position is another former manager, Pierpaolo Bisoli. Bisoli was in charge of Cosenza from February to June 2022, during which he secured the club`s Serie B safety via the playouts against Vicenza (a 1-0 defeat away followed by a 2-0 home victory). The past season also concluded prematurely for the coach from Emilia, as he was sacked by Brescia, where he had replaced Rolando Maran. His tenure with the `Rondinelle` (Swallows, Brescia`s nickname) was notably brief, lasting just seven games, resulting in six draws and one loss.
