While there are still several official announcements pending for the 2025/2026 Serie A benches, only one seemed uncertain regarding its next occupant. Unlike the clearer situations at Fiorentina (Pioli), Lecce (Di Francesco), and Pisa (Gilardino), Cremonese`s position was less definite. However, the situation now appears to have been resolved.
As reported by Sky Sport, a third meeting recently took place between the Lombardy club`s management and Davide Nicola, the strongest candidate for the coaching position. The talks were positive, so much so that the final agreement is expected as early as tomorrow. What`s more, it seems Nicola has already suggested some players he has worked with recently as potential signings for Cremonese. These include Torino forward Antonio Sanabria, and a trio from his time at Empoli: striker Lorenzo Colombo and defenders Liberato Cacace and Ardian Ismajli.
