Agnese Bonfantini, the dynamic forward for Fiorentina Femminile, recently offered insights into her career aspirations and personal goals, both on and off the football pitch, during a candid interview.
Renewed Commitment to Fiorentina: A New Chapter
Fiorentina 2027. How did you embark on this new chapter of your career, and what does it signify for you?
“Last year, I had a very positive experience both with my teammates and on the field. I believe I worked diligently and improved in many areas. Consequently, I sought continuity in my career, as I`ve lacked it in recent years due to frequently changing teams. I wanted to show faith in the club that had shown faith in me, which ultimately led to my decision to renew my contract.”
Team and Personal Objectives for the Upcoming Season
This new season has already begun with your first assist. With the championship start approaching, what are Fiorentina`s goals, and what are your personal objectives?
“Our initial goal was to perform well in the cup, but unfortunately, that didn`t materialize. These are still the early games; we have a new coach and many new players, so we`re still finding our rhythm on the field. We need to cultivate this new synergy. Our primary objective is to excel in the league, ideally finishing among the top three and securing a trophy, which we regrettably missed out on last year. My personal goals are somewhat different this season. I`ve started the year playing a bit deeper, so while as a forward my aim was typically to score, this year it might be more about providing assists or contributing with defensive clearances.”
Balancing Passions: Football and Fashion
How do these two significant aspects of your life – your passion for fashion and your commitment to football – harmoniously coexist?
“Opening my own brand was a long-held dream, but I had initially planned to pursue it after retiring from football. However, this year I had an epiphany and decided to launch it sooner. With my brand, Bonf4 Creator Design, I aim to express feelings and events through t-shirts, hoodies, or any clothing item. It`s a way to encapsulate a range of emotions, not just my own, but those of others too.”
