It had been widely anticipated, but the official announcement arrived just moments ago. Fiorentina has completed the signing of midfielder Jacopo Fazzini, who will join the *Viola* squad to strengthen their midfield. The club published a statement on its official website, which reads:
`ACF Fiorentina announces the permanent acquisition of the registration rights of footballer Jacopo Fazzini from Empoli F.C. Fazzini, born in Massa on March 16, 2003, came through Empoli`s youth academy. After making his Serie A debut at just 19 years old, he has already accumulated 76 appearances across the league and Coppa Italia, scoring 7 goals. The new *Viola* midfielder has also represented all of Italy`s youth national teams and participated in the U21 European Championship with the Under 21 squad.`
Empoli also officially confirmed the transfer:
`Empoli Football Club announces that an agreement has been reached with ACF Fiorentina for the permanent transfer of the registration rights of Jacopo Fazzini. The player will wear the *Viola* colours starting from July 1st.
