The highly anticipated Tuscan derby between Pisa and Fiorentina is scheduled for Sunday, September 28th, at 3 PM. Fiorentina`s coach, Stefano Pioli, held a press conference to preview this match, which marks the 5th round of the 2025-26 Serie A season. During his address, Pioli touched upon several interesting points, particularly relevant for fantasy football enthusiasts, including Moise Kean`s current struggle with form and the possibility of him playing in a two-man attack, the unfortunate injury sustained by winger Tariq Lamptey, and the positional adaptability of certain players. Here are the most significant takeaways from his briefing.

Kean

Regarding Moise Kean, Pioli stated: “Moise is not a problem; he can perform effectively both as a lone striker and when paired with another forward. Our priority is to improve our playmaking, create more offensive opportunities, and advance up the field more cohesively as a team. I expect us to find different solutions than what we`ve displayed up to this point.”

Lamptey

Addressing Tariq Lamptey`s situation, Pioli explained: “His movements on the field, especially what we observed on Wednesday, were concerning. Subsequent examinations revealed that his ligament was unstable, necessitating surgery. I feel truly sorry for him; he had integrated into the squad very well and brought excellent qualities to our team. He is naturally disappointed, but he remains calm about his recovery.”

Dodo

On the topic of player versatility, Pioli mentioned Dodo: “He is capable of playing on the right flank, just as Comuzzo can be utilized in a more central defensive role.”
