Italy tonight secured a guaranteed spot in the March play-offs. The national team`s World Cup qualification fate will be decided at the end of March, provided Estonia doesn`t achieve an unlikely upset in Norway on November 13. Following their convincing 3-0 victory, coach Gennaro Gattuso declared:
“We will not underestimate anyone. How can we? Football has evolved, and we simply cannot afford such an attitude.”
Despite the seemingly comfortable scoreline, the match was not straightforward.
