Giulia Giacobbo, the 2003-born midfielder who played a key role in Genoa`s promotion to Serie A with three goals in 28 appearances, is confirmed to be staying with the Rossoblù on a permanent basis.
The Ligurian club has officially acquired the player`s registration rights from Fiorentina. Giacobbo had made just two senior appearances for Fiorentina since 2022, with significant loan spells in between at Napoli Femminile (38 games and four goals over a year and a half) and then Genoa.
This was the club`s official statement posted on the women`s team social media channels:
“Genoa announces the permanent acquisition from Fiorentina of the sporting performance rights of Giulia Giacobbo with a contract until 2028.”
