Ha poi espresso il suo punto di vista sulle statistiche: “Personalmente, non amo consultare le statistiche, poiché le trovo fuorvianti e mi privano di una lettura autentica della partita. Per me, la gara di domani sarà una delle più ardue proprio perché le statistiche la dipingono come una delle più semplici. Il Portogallo è una formazione imprevedibile, che mira a proporre un gioco offensivo, e vanta individualità di rilievo dalle quali è difficile prevedere le mosse.”

Laura Giuliani, the goalkeeper for the Italy Women`s national team, made a statement at the press conference ahead of the upcoming European Championship match against Portugal. She declared: “In the opening game, the emotional aspect played a significant role. Although we didn`t play one of our best games, especially in the first half, we redeemed ourselves with determination in the second period, fully aware of our qualities.”
Giuliani continued, emphasizing the importance of adaptability: “Tomorrow`s game will definitely be different from the previous one. We have navigated a journey that has seen us face numerous teams, each with distinct tactical characteristics. We have always adapted while maintaining our core structure, both in terms of team cohesion and, more importantly, technical-tactical aspects. We are capable of adapting to various situations; we are `chameleonic` and can modify our approach according to the needs of the match. We always start with what we can control ourselves, then we focus on what we encounter externally.”
She then expressed her perspective on statistics: “Personally, I don`t like looking at statistics; I find them misleading as they hinder my ability to genuinely read the game. For me, tomorrow`s match will be one of the most difficult precisely because statistics suggest it will be one of the easiest. Portugal is an unpredictable team that aims to play attacking football and possesses very important individual talents from whom we never know what to expect.”
She concluded with a positive comment on the level of the continental tournament: “The level of this European Championship is decidedly high. We often watch the matches together, also to foster team bonding, and it`s a very rewarding experience to follow the games.”
