Preview Inter Aims to Raise €50 Million from Six Player Sales

Inter Milan is actively working to generate approximately 50 million euros from player sales, crucial funds needed to complete their squad for the upcoming season. A primary target for the club is Giovanni Leoni, a promising defender from Parma, whose valuation is estimated to be between €30-35 million. Having already committed over €60 million to new talents such as Sucic, Luis Henrique, Bonny, and finalizing the permanent acquisition of Zalewski, Inter must now rely on outgoing transfers to finance any further incoming players. This strategy is also essential to meet the financial parameters set by Oaktree, as the club has already balanced its operational revenue and expenditure.

The Nerazzurri confidently expect to collect around 50 million euros by offloading a selection of surplus players. Interestingly, Yann Bisseck, who was initially considered a candidate for sale, is now anticipated to remain with the club. The six players identified as potential departures are: Aleksandar Stankovic, Sebastiano Esposito, Tajon Buchanan, Kristjan Asllani, Mehdi Taremi, and Tomas Palacios.

Reports indicate that the most advanced discussions currently revolve around Stankovic, Esposito, and Buchanan. Club Brugge is showing serious intent regarding Aleksandar Stankovic, with a proposed valuation of €10 million, though Inter is keen to include a buy-back clause in any deal. Sassuolo has expressed interest in Tajon Buchanan, with a potential price tag of approximately €8 million, also with Inter seeking a buy-back option. Lastly, Sebastiano Esposito is a subject of competition between Fiorentina and Cagliari, with the latter reportedly tabling an offer of €7 million plus a percentage of any future resale profit.

Kristjan Asllani`s situation is less clear-cut; valued between €18-20 million, the former Empoli player reportedly prefers to continue his career in Italy despite interest from Real Betis. Bologna and Fiorentina are also noted as potential suitors within Italy. Mehdi Taremi`s future also hangs in the balance, with Inter targeting a €10 million sale for the forward. Fulham and Besiktas are among the clubs reportedly interested. Finally, Tomas Palacios, following a rather underwhelming loan spell at Monza, is likely to be sent out on another loan to gain further experience.
