The Belgian club`s €10 million offer is deemed appropriate by the Nerazzurri, but an agreement is still pending on another crucial aspect of the deal.
Despite being a promising young talent from the academy who has not yet made his senior team debut, Aleksander Stankovic is considered a highly strategic player for Inter. His potential departure, following an excellent loan spell at Lucerne, is therefore being closely monitored by Inter`s transfer market strategists. They opened discussions in recent days without fully closing them. “Ale,” the 19-year-old son of treble-winner Dejan, a talented midfielder, is highly sought after by Club Brugge, but has recently moved slightly further away from Flanders. Emissaries from the Belgian club, who visited Inter`s headquarters in Viale della Liberazione, are prepared to spend around 10 million euros to sign him, aiming to bring him to the club where Ardon Jashari, a future AC Milan player, was until last season.
Negotiations Continue with Optimism
The offered sum is considered fitting by Inter, but no progress has been made on the other crucial aspect of the negotiation: the terms and duration of a potential Inter buy-back clause. Club Brugge aims to keep it as high as possible, around 30 million euros, while Inter prefers it to be around 25 million and, crucially, to be exercisable over two years. Specifically, it would be exercisable at the end of both the upcoming 2025-26 season and the 2026-27 season. Further updates between the parties are expected, with reasonable confidence, especially since the departure of the young Serb, who grew up in Interello`s youth academy, is largely factored in by the Nerazzurri management. This would represent the first substantial sale of this transfer window, following three incoming transfers (Sucic, Luis Henrique, and Bonny) plus the redemption of Zalewski.
