Preview Inter and Milan Deny Season Tickets to Ultras: Stop to ‘Undesirable Fans’

They aim to prevent a criminal system from repeating itself. Further measures include non-transferable tickets and a new camera system.

San Siro stadium

Inter and Milan are strengthening security in the curva sections. A clear `no` has been given to the so-called `undesirable fans` for the upcoming season ticket campaigns. This decision comes after the `Doppia curva` (Double Curva) investigation in recent months, which prompted the two Milanese clubs to adopt a tougher stance.

The New Measures

The clubs, supported by the Milan Public Prosecutor`s Office and Police Headquarters, have rejected hundreds of season ticket renewal requests based on the ethical codes they signed. This applies to fans previously subject to Daspo orders, as well as those reported or sanctioned administratively for improper conduct or involvement in violent incidents (including those reported by former Inter ultra leader Andrea Beretta, who collaborated with justice officials). The joint goal of the clubs and the prosecutor`s office is to prevent a criminal system from re-emerging. After dissolving the organized groups `Curva Nord` and `Curva Sud`, access to the stadium for Inter and Milan matches has been denied to these individuals. Furthermore, tickets for the curva sections will not be transferable. A new security plan for San Siro is also being added, which includes the installation of facial recognition cameras at the turnstiles. This system is expected to be operational at the beginning of the year.
