Inter conducted a training friendly at Appiano Gentile, securing a 3-1 victory against Matteo Andreoletti`s Padova, a team recently promoted to Serie B. The Nerazzurri squad was supplemented by numerous young talents from the Under 23 team, as many first-team regulars were away on international duty. The goals for Inter were netted by Carlos Augusto, Mkhitaryan, and notably, new signing Andy Diouf.
The French newcomer, acquired for approximately 25 million euros including bonuses, scored his inaugural goal in an Inter shirt after making his debut against Torino in the final fifteen minutes. During the international break, Chivu will have a prime opportunity to work closely with the gifted former Lens player, who requires time to acclimate to Italian football. The 2003-born midfielder participated in 37 matches across all competitions last season, registering one goal.
