Concerns over Turkish midfielder`s calf injury, keeping him out of the Club World Cup so far.

Hakan Calhanoglu faces another setback. The Turkish midfielder is experiencing a difficult spell, having been sidelined again just as he was nearing a return to play. He reported calf discomfort, and subsequent tests revealed a strain in the soleus muscle of his right leg. This explains his absence from yesterday`s training session, despite having increased his workload and running well at UCLA last week. Recovery from a calf injury, especially in the soleus, is notoriously tricky, and his return timeline remains uncertain. He is now expected to miss Inter`s potential Club World Cup Round of 16 matches, scheduled for June 30th or July 1st.
Transfer Market Buzz
Beyond his injury, Calhanoglu has also been a subject of discussion regarding his future and the transfer market. Inter has recently reaffirmed that they have not received any official offers for the midfielder, nor has the player himself requested a transfer. However, it is widely known that his agent, Stipic, is maintaining contact with Galatasaray, reportedly discussing a significant salary offer. Despite this, the Nerazzurri club is unwilling to negotiate his exit, stating that Calhanoglu would only be allowed to leave for a substantial fee, estimated to be around 40 million euros.
