Inter Milan concluded its summer transfer market by bidding farewell to Pavard and warmly welcoming Manuel Akanji, who arrived on loan from Manchester City. This deal includes an obligation to buy, contingent upon a potential Scudetto victory and Akanji featuring in at least 50% of the team`s matches. The much-desired acquisition of Lookman, however, fell through as Atalanta firmly rebuffed all approaches, keeping their star forward. Consequently, the final two signings secured by Inter`s sporting directors Ausilio and Marotta were Andy Diouf and the aforementioned Swiss defender, Akanji.
