Inter Milan`s transfer market is currently buzzing around the name of Giovanni Leoni. The Nerazzurri club is actively working to make space for the promising 2006-born talent, which could even lead to the departure of Francesco Acerbi. This clearly signals the club`s intentions, as confirmed by President Giuseppe Marotta during the Lega Calcio Assembly: “He is a promising talent, but he belongs to Parma, not us.” Meanwhile, the 18-year-old continues to train regularly and is not pushing for a move from the *Gialloblù*.
Marotta also addressed Hakan Calhanoglu`s situation, stating: “He is fully our player and will join us as soon as he is called up.” Galatasaray`s approaches have therefore been rejected, with the Turkish club now reportedly eyeing Benjamin Pavard. Regarding outgoing players, the two Carboni brothers are set to leave Inter: Valentin will join Genoa, as confirmed by a club director, and Franco will move to Empoli. Both players will be loaned out.
Finally, Tajon Buchanan`s situation is one to watch. The Canadian winger is highly sought after by Villarreal, who are keen to bring him back to Spain on a temporary basis. Inter has opened discussions with the Spanish club but is much firmer in its stance than it was in January: they will only agree to a transfer if Villarreal commits to a permanent acquisition from the “Yellow Submarine.”
