The Nerazzurri`s new coach, Cristian Chivu, will kick off their European campaign in Amsterdam against Ajax in two weeks, with Esposito included in List B.

Inter Milan Announces Champions League Squad
The journey is set to begin in exactly two weeks: Wednesday, September 17, at the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam, featuring Ajax versus Inter. This will mark Cristian Chivu`s debut as the Nerazzurri coach in the Champions League, the first of eight major European challenges. His squad will be engaged across various locations: in Milan against Slavia Prague, in Belgium with Union Saint-Gilloise, then the surprising Kairat Almaty at the Meazza, Wanda Metropolitano against Atletico Madrid, followed by Liverpool and Arsenal at home, before concluding the initial phase in the `Dortmund inferno`.
The squad list Chivu will rely on was largely determined previously, but it has now been officially confirmed. The only player excluded from the main list is Tomas Palacios. A further clarification: Pio Esposito, considering his age (born in 2005), has been placed on List B to ensure he doesn`t occupy a spot on the primary list. Practically, this changes nothing, as he will be eligible to play just like the others. Manuel Akanji, the latest arrival, is included.
