The Italian Team Manager Association (AITM) has officially launched, bringing together team managers from numerous professional football clubs. The association`s primary mission is two-fold: to enhance the recognition and standing of the team manager role throughout Italian football, encompassing both professional and amateur levels, and to unify the profession into a single voice. This consolidated body will serve as an institutional and technical representative when engaging with key entities such as the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), various Leagues, clubs, and international football organizations. Positioned similarly to established associations for players (AIC), coaches (AIAC), and referees (AIA), AITM aims to be the official, unified representative body for team managers. A significant goal for the association is also to highlight the increasingly crucial function of this professional role in the operational management of teams, partly by facilitating training and continuous development programs.

Association Leadership and Board

The structure and leadership of AITM have been confirmed. Matteo Fabris, the current team manager for Juventus, has been appointed as President. Serving as Deputy Vice President is Alberto Marangon from AC Milan. The Vice President roles are held by Fabio Pinna (Palermo) and Alessandro Cilento (Benevento). Antimo Di Lorenzo assumes the position of General Secretary. The extensive 17-member Board of Directors includes a diverse representation from clubs across different tiers of Italian football, ensuring broad perspectives from Serie A, Serie B, Lega Pro, and Serie A Women`s leagues. Board members include Ivan Sarra (Pisa), Matteo Tagliacarne (Inter), Alessio Cracolici (Parma), Massimiliano Fusani (Sassuolo), Marco Lombardo (Juve Next Generation), Alessandro Ursini (Latina), Paolo Mele (Lucchese), Fabio Mariani (Renate), Andrea Bonfanti Consolini (Trento), Raffaella Masciadri (Juventus Women), and Nicola Cecconi (Fiorentina Women). The organizational framework also incorporates a Members` Assembly and an Executive Committee, designed to cultivate a robust national network among team managers that encourages mutual collaboration and the sharing of knowledge and best practices.
