Jorginho, born in Brazil but raised and established in Italy through his time in Verona and Napoli, earned a place in the Azzurri squad, ultimately winning the Euros in 2021. After spending seven seasons in the Premier League with Chelsea and Arsenal, the 33-year-old midfielder decided this summer to return closer to his roots by joining Flamengo in Brazil. He is currently competing with the club in the Club World Cup.

The Italian-Brazilian playmaker further explained that he hasn`t yet spoken with the newly appointed head coach, Gennaro Gattuso, who took over from Spalletti, but stated his willingness to help the group if the coach believes he can contribute.
