Juric highlighted how the recent victory, achieved despite a string of injuries affecting the squad, is fostering a strong team spirit and dedication to work. He specifically praised the unexpected performances of young players like Ahanor and Bernasconi, who delivered “outstanding” matches. He also acknowledged the significant contribution of substitutes, including Zappacosta.
Regarding concerns for Bellanova and Kossounou, Juric expressed cautious optimism. “It seems they were stopped at the right time,” he stated, referring to the high frequency of matches players have to contend with. He added that the injuries “seem like minor issues,” and that they are awaiting the results of medical examinations scheduled for the following day for both players. Despite the team already facing six defections and De Roon`s suspension for the upcoming match against Como, the coach concluded on a reassuring note: “But it seems to be nothing serious.”
