Juventus has made a decision regarding a key management position and is preparing to welcome a new face to its significantly restructured leadership team following the conclusion of the past season.
The appointment concerns the role of technical director. After considering other candidates, the Bianconeri are ready to bring in François Modesto, who is known in Italy for his tenure as sporting director at Monza.
This signifies that Modesto has been chosen over other profiles evaluated by the club in recent weeks, including Javier Ribalta and Marco Ottolini, who were also being monitored by Juventus.
Despite his previous experience as a sporting director, Modesto is not expected to fill that specific role in Turin. Instead, he will serve as technical director, while the search for a sporting director is still ongoing. Modesto also has a history in Italian football as a player, having played for Cagliari. Starting from the training camp on July 24th, he will act as a crucial link between the club hierarchy and the players, including being the closest reference point for Igor Tudor and the squad.
