With only twenty days left until the start of the championship, Juventus has a critical window to generate around €100 million and initiate the decisive transfer movements essential for Tudor`s team ambitions.
The strategy is to sell players to fund new acquisitions. However, Juventus intends to do so without haste, dictating its own prices, rather than being pressured by the urgency of an outgoing transfer market, which is nonetheless crucial for incoming operations. This is especially true as time begins to run out. There are just twenty days until the start of the championship – Juve`s debut at the Stadium against Parma is on the 24th – and despite Comolli not being one to be anxious about the rapidly approaching deadline, it`s clear that time is not playing in the Old Lady`s favor for much longer. While the transfer window officially closes on September 1st at 8 PM, ideally, Tudor would like to have his necessary reinforcements at Continassa before the season kicks off. This applies especially to players earmarked as first-team starters; there will be time for any last-minute opportunities.
Who and for How Much?
So, twenty days remain to reach the €100 million target – give or take a million, and not necessarily all at once – and, crucially, to kickstart the decisive movements vital for Juventus`s ambitions. Reaching €100 million within this timeframe is an achievable goal for the Bianconeri, provided they can successfully execute these key outgoing transfers at their desired valuations: Weah for €18 million (almost done, only official confirmation of his move to Marseille is pending), Miretti for €15 million (Napoli is interested), Vlahovic for €25 million, and Douglas Luiz for €40 million. The math quickly adds up.
This figure could also be adjusted with other departures, such as Arthur, or players with contracts expiring in 2026, like Rugani, Djalo, Kostic, and McKennie. Currently, the list of outgoing players, which only includes Alberto Costa and Mbangula, has not met all the incoming transfer needs. Extending this list will mean bolstering the squad with new additions: Kolo Muani to finalize the attack, Hjulmand, O`Riley, or another quality `mystery X` for the midfield (beyond Koop`s return to the midfield), and a potential additional solution (or opportunity?) for the defense.
