Plea bargain requested for former president Agnelli (1 year 8 months, suspended), Nedved (1 year 2 months), and Paratici (1 year 6 months)

The lengthy `Prisma` trial concerning Juventus`s alleged capital gains and salary irregularities may be nearing its conclusion. During this morning`s hearing before Judge Anna Maria Gavoni at the Rome Tribunal, the legal teams representing the club and its former executives formally submitted requests for a plea bargain. Prosecutors have already agreed to the proposed terms.
The requested sentences are: 1 year and 8 months for Andrea Agnelli (with the sentence suspended), while for the then-vice president Pavel Nedved, it`s 1 year and 2 months. A sentence of 1 year and 6 months was sought for Paratici, and the same for Cesare Gabasio. Stefano Cerrato, the club`s Chief Financial Officer, faces a request for one year. Meanwhile, an acquittal has been sought for Maurizio Arrivabene.
Compensation
The specific crimes attributed to them by prosecutors Lorenzo del Giudice and Giorgio Orano include market manipulation, making false corporate communications for listed companies, fraudulent declaration using invoices or other documents for non-existent transactions, and hindering supervisory bodies. The former Juventus figures are reportedly prepared to compensate Consob for damages and offer restitution to the 200 civil parties who have joined the proceedings. Judge Anna Maria Gavoni of the Rome Tribunal is expected to render her decision on September 22.
