Preview Juventus Transfer Saga: Weah and Mbangula Stay?

Nottingham Forest`s attempts to sign Juventus duo Timothy Weah and Samuel Mbangula have reportedly failed. Although talks were advanced, the deal collapsed recently. According to Fabrizio Romano, Weah`s unwillingness was the primary reason, as he viewed a move to the Premier League as a regression for his career.

Consequently, the negotiations for the Belgian winger Mbangula were also abandoned. The English club withdrew, reportedly unsatisfied with the proposed terms. Both players now remain with Juventus and new coach Igor Tudor, who will need to decide on their potential roles in the team.

While their full reintegration into the squad might seem difficult, particularly considering recent comments from Weah`s representatives, it`s possible the situation could evolve, as is common in the transfer market. Weah already has significant international experience: 107 appearances and 8 goals for Lille, 78 appearances and 7 goals for Juventus, plus spells at Celtic and PSG. Mbangula, on the other hand, has played 32 games scoring 4 goals for the Juventus first team and 25 games scoring 2 goals for the Next Gen side. Both could potentially prove useful now, especially with the upcoming and significant challenge of the Club World Cup quarter-final against Real Madrid. Their future remains uncertain.
