Brazilian Defender`s Fitness Test Fails Due to Lingering Knee Discomfort

Whether it`s good news or bad, it makes little difference to Igor Tudor, as Juventus`s pre-match training session offered only a cautious, mixed bag of developments. Key defender Gleison Bremer will unfortunately miss the crucial Allianz Stadium clash against AC Milan, having also sat out the Champions League trip to Villarreal. While scans confirm there is no structural lesion in his left knee, the discomfort persists, and he was unable to train with the squad yesterday.

In Bremer`s absence, Daniele Rugani is the frontrunner to step into the central defense. Other tactical options include Federico Gatti playing centrally with Pierre Kalulu potentially dropping back to complete the defensive trio.

On a more positive note, Khephren Thuram is showing good signs of recovery and will be included in the squad for the match. He remains a contender for a starting position, although he is currently slightly behind Weston McKennie in the pecking order.

Upfront, behind the main striker Jonathan David, both Francisco Conceiçao and Kenan Yildiz are expected to retain their places in the starting lineup. On the flanks, Kalulu and Andrea Cambiaso are set to feature, while Joao Mario is more likely to start from the bench.

Finally, Michele Di Gregorio will make his return in goal for Juventus, taking over from Mattia Perin, who started in the recent fixture against Vila-Real.
