Montenegrin striker Nikola Krstovic is poised to join Atalanta, with the deal between the Bergamo club and Lecce now finalized. Medical examinations and contract signing are expected within the next 48 hours.

Atalanta has successfully completed the acquisition of Nikola Krstovic from Lecce. The talented Montenegrin forward is expected to arrive in Bergamo imminently to finalize the necessary procedures for his transfer. Krstovic has been identified as the key replacement for Mateo Retegui, who recently made a move to Saudi Arabia.
The transfer fee for Krstovic is reportedly €25 million. This figure is notably lower than the €40 million that Atalanta had previously offered Fulham for Rodrigo Muniz, an offer which was ultimately rejected. Krstovic had expressed a long-standing desire to take a significant step forward in his career, and Lecce agreed to the transfer, provided their financial conditions were met.
The offer presented by the Percassi Group, owners of Atalanta, successfully satisfied Lecce`s demands, thus paving the way for Krstovic`s exciting new chapter in the black and blue jersey.
Notably, Krstovic was acquired by Lecce for just €4 million. His market value has since seen a substantial rise, reportedly soaring to €30 million, a clear indication of why he has attracted interest from top clubs.
