Lazio midfielder Matías Vecino has become the latest victim of a series of burglaries in Rome’s affluent Camilluccia district. The incident occurred while Vecino was at a pre-season training camp with his team. Upon returning on Monday, the former Inter player found a ground-floor window had been forced open. The culprits made off with several valuable items, including jewelry and watches, though the precise contents of the stolen loot are yet to be fully detailed. Vecino promptly reported the crime to the Carabinieri of the Cassia company, who arrived at the scene to begin their investigation. This theft follows a similar recent incident in the same area, where the apartment of the owners of Villa Claudia clinic was also targeted.

Training Update

Despite this distressing event, Vecino was present and participated in the training session at the Formello sports center on Tuesday, continuing his pre-season preparations with the squad. Also rejoining the team was Zaccagni, marking his first group training after undergoing surgery on June 25 to address a long-standing pubalgia issue.
