Lazio winger Mattia Zaccagni recently underwent surgery to address a persistent `Groin Pain Syndrome`. This painful condition, which affects the groin region, troubled him for a significant part of the recent season.
Zaccagni took to social media to update and reassure the club`s supporters:
“I`ve already been discharged and am back home,” he posted. “Thank you all for your support. This is a problem that has bothered me for a while; I played the last three months of the season with a lot of pain. Rest and therapy weren`t enough, so I decided to have the surgery to be ready for pre-season.”
His recovery plan involves a short period of rest followed by a gradual return to physical activity. Zaccagni`s stated goal is to rejoin the team in time for Lazio`s pre-season training camp, scheduled to start on July 14th in Formello, ensuring he`s fully available for coach Maurizio Sarri.
