From his Instagram profile, AC Milan forward Rafael Leao has shared a farewell message for his teammate Theo Hernandez, who is reportedly very close to leaving the Rossoneri for a move to the Saudi Pro League.
The Portuguese international wrote: “My brother, my companion in so many battles. Together we went through many good and bad moments, but it was a pleasure to share space and the pitch with you, my brother. I wish you all the best in this new phase. I will miss you a lot because over the years you have become an important person to me. It shouldn`t have ended like this, but life is made of challenges. Good luck on the new path. As always, I will always support you and us! THEAO`.”
The transfer of Theo Hernandez to Al Hilal is now seemingly just awaiting official confirmation. This operation, which has been in the works for weeks, is nearing completion after the French player reconsidered his initial reluctance towards a move to Arabia and gave his approval for the transfer to the Saudi Pro League. Negotiations between the two clubs are reported to be practically concluded, with Milan expected to receive a transfer fee of 25 million euros for his services. It`s worth remembering that Theo was notably excluded from Massimiliano Allegri`s squad list for the start of the pre-season training camp in recent days, an undeniable indicator of an impending sale. This development marks the end of the former Real and Atletico Madrid player`s extensive tenure with the Milan shirt, having accumulated a total of 262 appearances for the club, contributing 34 goals and 45 assists.
