The Sports Appeals Court has partially granted the appeal submitted by Italian football club US Pianese concerning the suspension of their defender, Luca Ercolani. The initial disqualification period has been reduced by one match, a decision that will allow the “bianconeri” player to return to the pitch this Saturday, October 18th, at 17:30, for the crucial league match against Bra.
In an official announcement, the Tuscan club confirmed the reduction of Ercolani`s suspension from four to three matches. The sanction was originally imposed on September 24th. The player had been penalized for “lightly contacting the referee and preventing him from approaching a player who had been fouled, without serious consequences,” as stated in the disciplinary report.
