Jhon Lucumí`s €28 million release clause is attracting significant attention from clubs outside Bologna. While Bologna would ideally keep the Colombian defender, born in `98, the clause means that any club arriving at Saputo`s headquarters with the required cash can freely sign him.
Speaking about Lucumí`s future, his agent, Simone Rondanini, appeared on the StileTV show `Salite Sulla Giostra` to share some transfer insights. He revealed, “Lucumí was also in Napoli`s plans. Is the clause valid until July 15? I believe so.” A frequently asked question is which team the Colombian will play for next season. Rondanini responded, “Where he will have the opportunity to grow. It could be Bologna or another team. He`s developed well at Bologna, and now we need to figure out his next step.”
Regarding interest from major clubs, including Inter and Juventus, Rondanini commented, “I don`t like talking about other teams. He`s had a great season, and interest from clubs like Inter and Juventus is always welcome. Last year saw changes like Calafiori and Zirkzee leaving… I think the most important thing for the club is the direction set by the management with Di Vaio and Sartori, who are always seeking strong talents, both in terms of the coach and the players. In any case, I don`t foresee any issues; he`s a player who wants to compete and win. He`s won a Coppa Italia and played in the Champions League.”
