Michal Tomic is officially a new player for Spartak Trnava. The 26-year-old Slovakian right-back arrives from Slavia Prague and has penned a three-year contract with the club. With six national team appearances to his name, including three in the Euro 2024 qualifiers, Tomic is expected to bring valuable experience and quality to the Slovak side.
The transfer was strongly desired by both parties involved, a sentiment echoed by the player himself in comments to the club`s official media channels. Tomic stated, “Negotiations with Spartak were direct and sincere. I spoke with the sports director Martin Škrtel multiple times, and his involvement played a significant role in my decision.”
Michal Tomic began his youth career in Slovakia before spending his final years of development in Italy. From 2015 to 2018, he was part of the Sampdoria youth academy.
