Richard Rios is among Roma`s transfer targets as they search for a midfielder who can provide quantity and quality to the Giallorossi`s midfield next season. This speculation is confirmed today on the front page of the Rome edition of Corriere della Sera, which is titled: “Midfield Revolution: Rios is liked”.
Roma is not the only Italian club interested in the Colombian midfielder. In South America (as well as in Italy), there continues to be insistent talk of Inter Milan, who reportedly had initial contact with Palmeiras recently regarding the player. Identified as a main alternative to Ederson in case Calhanoglu departs, the Nerazzurri club is said to have inquired about the possibility of a deal, being informed of a base price to start negotiations (around 25 million dollars) and the existence of a release clause estimated at around 100 million dollars. Despite his contract running until 2028, South American colleagues have repeatedly assured that Palmeiras would be willing to negotiate his sale, given the significant list of clubs interested in the player. The other clubs in the running are Tottenham, Nottingham Forest, and Everton. It remains to be seen who will make a decisive move to convince the Colombian player and the Brazilian club.
