Despite Relegation to Serie D, Milan Futuro Retains Faith in Oddo and Key Staff

Milan Futuro is building for the future with Massimo Oddo at the helm, confirming him for another two years. The former Rossoneri defender has chosen to remain despite the reserve team`s disappointing relegation to Serie D last season. The club`s project, though now at a lower level, maintains its core mission: to develop, polish, and deliver the best young players to the senior squad. While amateur football differs from the professional game, the fundamental ambition of the project remains unchanged. This commitment is further underscored by the confirmation of Mauro Tassotti, a seasoned figure who stays on as a technical collaborator. Jovan Kirovski will also continue as a key executive for the second team. Milan Futuro`s season is set to begin on Monday with players gathering at Milanello, close to the senior Milan squad, as is customary. The Serie D league season will kick off on September 7th.
The Official Statement
“AC Milan is pleased to announce the contract renewal of Massimo Oddo, who will remain with the Club until June 30, 2027. Having returned to the Rossoneri as Milan Futuro coach in February 2025, Oddo will continue to oversee the young talents for the next two seasons. The work undertaken during his tenure has led the Club to place full faith in Massimo, confident that under his technical guidance, the development and growth pathway for academy players will continue, with the goal of preparing them for the First Team. Vice-coach Marcello Donatelli and technical collaborators Mauro Tassotti and Valerio Brandi are also confirmed to remain.”
