Mattia Liberali`s future at Milan appears uncertain due to the club`s new technical direction. The young midfielder, who spent last season between the Primavera, Under 23s, and trained with the first team (making one appearance), has only one year left on his contract. A renewal doesn`t seem like a priority for Milan currently, as the future direction isn`t yet clearly defined, and it`s unclear what role the eighteen-year-old might have. For his part, Liberali wants a season as a key player.
Consequently, two options are emerging for his immediate future. One possibility is a move to Parma, a club with a clear focus on young players and willing to integrate them into the first team. Liberali could be involved in a larger deal that might include Leoni, a highly sought-after defender (also by Inter and Juventus) valued at over 20 million euros.
The other option is a transfer to Lecce, where he would reunite with former teammate Francesco Camarda. Lecce also aims to develop young talents, hoping they adapt quickly and perform well. Therefore, although a departure from Milan seems likely, it`s not ruled out that the Rossoneri might retain a buy-back option in the future, perhaps after two seasons.
